Sports in Society

Sports in Society Sports in Society will analyze the connection between athletics and American society, past and present. The course will also explore, from the sociological perspective, contemporary issues and controversies in sports today. Sports in Society is an enrichment course exploring the following units: history, sports and societal change, the role of athletes in society, high school and college athletics, and the Olympics. This class is a regular level summer school course; students will earn .50 credit for the social studies elective. All subject and academic GPA.
