Geometry 161 (GBN) Geometry 261 (GBS)

Geometry 161 (GBN) Geometry 261 (GBS) Geometry is a plane geometry course with extensions to three dimensions. Algebra is used as a transitional tool to relate geometric concepts to previously learned material. This course is designed to develop critical thinking through analytic reasoning and an understanding and appreciation of basic geometric relationships. Geometric construction and deductive proof are emphasized. Prerequisite: Algebra 163. All subject and academic GPA. Summer school courses are designed for remediation and are not to be taken for acceleration. Entering ninth graders may not take this class.
